Music Ministry
St. Stephen’s parish
is so lucky to have such a wonderful music ministry. Under the direction
of Mr. Ryan Schaffer, the music program has grown to be one of the
largest in the Oswego area. In 1999, there were only 8 members of the choir.
With a great deal of hard work and dedication, Mr. Schaffer quickly reformed
the choir, and there are now 24 members. They have been introduced to a
wide variety of contemporary hymns, choral anthems as well as the traditional
Polish Hymns from years ago.
The adult choir rehearses each Thursday evening at 7 pm in the choir
loft. They are currently working on anthems for the Lenten and Easter Season,
and also preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation (being administered
to the youth of the Parish on April 8, 2003 at 7:00 pm.)

Children’s Choir News
The children’s choir was
formed in 2001 with the help of Ryan Schaffer and Cindy Jackson.
The ensemble continues to grow, and the youth of the parish are
ALWAYS WELCOME!!!!
The children’s choir rehearses from 3-4:00
pm on Saturday.
They sing at the vigil Mass every couple of week, and on high feast
days at St. Stephen’s.
Many Thanks to the parents for their
patience, time,
and support of this group.
In January of 2001,
St. Stephen’s Parish held a fund raising event to purchase a new State
of the Art Rodger’s Trillium Series Organ. The parish fundraised enough
money, that we not only got the new organ, but we also were able to renovate
the choir loft to accommodate the growing size of the music ministry.
